HEALING AND RECONCILIATION FOR COMMUNITIES AND FAMILIES
A Safer Reality
The world outside our doors is vast and ever-changing. It can be difficult to navigate, especially for Indigenous Peoples who have grown up removed from major urban centres or those seeking to weave traditional values with modern culture.

As Indigenous Peoples make more of their mark in the world, there is a need to prepare them to navigate these realties in a safe and supportive environment, while addressing fears that systemic traumas from colonial systems have imparted on them.
IndigenEYEZ, an organization offering leadership and training rooted in Indigenous ways of being, recognizes this gap and is committed to helping individuals develop skills and confidence for creating positive change. To achieve this, IndigenEYEZ is developing 18 online workshops focused on cultural restoration, eliminating racism in colonial workspaces, and building healthy dialogue between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. All ages, from youth to Elders, will learn the tools and confidence they need to enter these places and be able to better navigate unfamiliar spaces personally and professionally.
The Indigenous Reconciliation Fund (IRF) has seen the impact IndigenEYEZ has made first-hand. The IRF is proud to support the next iteration of workshops for participants to communicate openly and express their dreams, fears, hurts and angers within a safe environment built on support, culture, and community building. As new pathways are shaped to help Indigenous Peoples traverse the potential realities that lie ahead of them, spirits will be rejuvenated, relationships healed, and the next generation empowered.
